SEABEX in the top 10 of the world’s best startups at Davos

The cluster is extremely proud to congratulate its member SEABEX on being named one of the top 10 start-ups in the world at the Zero Water Waste Challenge on 17 January 2024. This is a world-renowned competition organised by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

The Zero Water Waste Challenge is the second in a series of five innovation challenges organised as part of HCL Group and UpLink's Aquapreneur Innovation Initiative. In 2024, the challenge focused on capturing and protecting freshwater supplies, reusing water and recycling materials, and saving water in agriculture.

The 10 best entrepreneurs responding to this challenge and providing innovative solutions in various sectors such as wastewater recovery, rainwater harvesting, advanced filtration, precision agriculture, as well as in the fields of data analysis and artificial intelligence, were selected from 192 applicants from all over the world.

Seabex, an Ag Tech start-up founded in 2020 and based at the AGREEN LAB'O Village By CA in Orléans, offers intelligent precision irrigation solutions enabling farmers to improve their crop yields, has been awarded a prize at this year's 2024 event.

"We are deeply honoured to be recognised by the World Economic Forum and HCL Group through the Zero Water Waste Challenge. At Seabex, we firmly believe that sustainable innovation is the key to overcoming the world's water challenges. This award underlines our commitment to developing innovative solutions that ensure the availability and responsible management of water. Together, we are forging a future where water is an abundant and accessible resource for all", said Taher Mestiri, President of Seabex.

Congratulations to the entire Seabex team, Taher MESTIRI, Inès HAMIDA and Amira CHENIOUR, for this well-deserved worldwide recognition !
